"This hotel is brand new! Everything was SQUEAKY clean and the bathrooms are very modern and updated! Not the usual bathrooms you see at this price point or with this brand. The staff was wonderful also and Aldi is within walking distance which made stocking up snacks very easy! Very convenient location to the rest of downtown Alpena also - places like Walmart, Meijer, Applebee's etc were just within a few miles. Highly recommend!"

"It was amazing! We stayed here for a youth hockey tournament and the staff were all so wonderful and accommodating! They treated our boys and whole team so kindly. They even opened up breakfast early so our boys could eat before their game on Sunday.
It was the best Holiday Inn Express breakfast that I have ever had. Liz does a great job! Gwen was so helpful and sweet!
The hotel, itself, is extremely clean and the view is beautiful. The pier is right behind the hotel and a great walk! "
