"Lovely quirky hotel in the centre of the old town. Great Thai and Indian restaurants only a short walk away. Friendly staff and good breakfast. It’s a bit noisy and the emergency lights in the room never switch off. Overpowering air freshener had to be unplugged and out in a drawer. "

"We stayed for 2 nights to meet up with family from Australia. The location is very convenient for travelling into Oxford on the local buses. There are also restaurants, cafes and shops within a 15-minute walk. Very convenient for us"

"This was a really good place to stay and such a wonderful find for repeat visits when I’m in the area again. A must have for breakfast is the homemade pancakes with bacon, maple syrup and delicious glacéd sliced apples, simply wonderful."

"Really enjoyed the amazing warm breakfast included with the room. The restaurant is a must, to have some amazing food in the evening. The hotel was quiet, and the bed comfy. The location of the property is in easy walking distance from the train station, a car rental store and also the amazing Oxford city centre. "

"It’s a pub with rooms at the back, not the biggest but perfectly functional. Very hot in the room, could do with a fan maybe? The lady behind the bar got a little flustered, made a call and got it sorted. Also very European when it came to bar service. Overall will stay again if needed"

"Wonderful place to stay. The host/owner is a lovely lady whose aim is to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Beautiful decor and the rooms are 5* in all respects. "

"Stay was lovely, just some odd elements which were a bit strange! Make sure you arrive in good time to check in early, and double-check what the morning process is for leaving - main pub remained locked and egress was through the rear fire escape - noone in sight so left key in room. The room was lovely - really well laid out, roomy, and clearly well-thought out; lots of little things that made the place really nice. Weak spot was the bathroom - doesn't have a proper door. Shower was also dirty...

"The property is clean and cozy. Excellentt staff service . I manage to have a good sleep but really suggest that they needed to extra cushion as the spring of the bed is feeling on your back. But overall all good as its easy access to city center. Highly recommended this property. "

"Views are great over the square and the check in and communication process was easy. £100 bond was returned quickly and the flat is very secure and spacious. Kitchen is well stocked. Parking was free 6pm to 6am and is a 5-10 minute walk away at Argos and can be paid for remotely from 6am 8am which was £2. "
