"I wondered beforehand in view of the modest price, but they have achieved that by reducing personnel rather than quality. The whole place is automated, they send a code so you let yourself in, breakfast is modest but adequate (and there is a 'Spoons just up the street if you fancy more!). Short walk from the station, warm & comfortable, would go again if ever in Boston. I needed to leave some luggage at check out for collection later in the day, that worked perfectly, by prior arrangement, and that was the only time I ever met a member of staff."

"Hot tub was leaking and filter was broken, two of the outside lights were broken, kitchen tap was loose , one of the showers brackets was broken so u couldn’t put the hose back up, there was only 4 outside chairs and there was nine of us. Nice location , plenty of space , nice and clean lodge, couldn’t fault the staff"

"We were running the Boston half marathon and unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast. The hotel also had guest runners, so breakfast was brought forward to 7.00 so that we could all eat. So thoughtful Barry, thank you very much. Lovely quirky deco. Lots of tea & coffee in the room. "
