Small room but nice river view. Good for a couple of days. The major detail to fix is that the toilet was not properly attached to the floor, as a result, it shaken when sitting on it.

The property is very rundown but was decently clean. It had stains in the tub and awful wear and tear but it was kept clean ( for being so outdated.) 5 mins from Cherokee and 5 mins from Bryson city.

Property run down and the rooms need updated. Previous reviews mentioned crime with drug issues such as needles left in rooms. Our room was clean with no drug paraphernalia left behind. Probably better deals out there.

Comfortable bed, nice back porch to sit and watch the river, a/c worked fine. Didn’t like the thin bath towels and the cigarette butt container on back porch needed to be emptied (smell was strong).

From the pictures I saw on Travelocity I was led to believe it was a country quaint with a river view. What we got was a DIY project with the view of the neighbors backyard junkyard. The kid that checked us in was very friendly and I will give them an A for cleanliness and friendliness. But they have a long way to go.

Room was as expected for an older hotel. BUT I booked and paid for a room with 2 queen beds - and what we got was 1 Queen bed and 1 Twin. I called and explained and they said it was the same “room category” as I booked and nothing else available. No refund either. Also…. The only light in the room is an excruciatingly bright 3 tube LED without a cover that is blinding. I have migraines and ask for a lamp with a dimmer bulb. No lamps either. Keep these things in mind should you plan to stay here.

Cozy room was perfect for our trip ... clean and comfy to rest and get ready for our days out. Wilson at reception was hospitable & helpful with suggestions for things to do, places to eat.

It was a very old and run down room. No outlet for bathroom,no hair dryer, stained and rusty tub, a board in the entry way to the bathroom that the nails was loose. A tripping hazard indeed!! No lamp for the side table and the side table wood was peeling. The window frame paint peeling. The pool run down and broken, unusable. What i did like was towels seemed clean, the bed seemed clean. Picturs on website not as it claimed.

Extremely disappointing. I actually feel bad about saying this but Room 129 was lousy. Entry door latch was falling out of the door and daylight was showing around the door when it was closed. Ceiling light was bare bulbs. The "non smoking" room stunk badly of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was missing a wall tile and the bathtub had been repainted with a brush. Then touched up with a brush in another colour. But the worst part was the double bed. It sagged so badly in the middle it felt like it had a hole in it. A simple piece of plywood would fix it. I hardly slept. So the room was just badly run down. The plus side? I can't fault the housekeeping. Despite it being a wreck it was clean.

We had a great visit

Room wasn't ready until 4:30.. Had a large dog with us...long wait.. Other than that we had an excellent time..service was great. Very helpful staff..always made sure we had everything we needed.. Looking for a quaint and quiet and friendly place to stay .not looking for 4 star resort.this is your place..on the river with picnic tables..lights at night .grill.... convenient to Cherokee.. Would recommend
