"Clean, safe but dated hotel. Had a room next to the stairs so made for a noisy morning as people bumped suitcases down the steps. Air conditioner worked really well in cooling room. Breakfast was very basic."

"The check-in was so easy and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They gave us recommendations for food and sights. The location was perfect for both the old port and the art district. The room was beautiful and welcoming but was even better was the beautiful view of the bay. We loved waking up to the beautiful view. Parking was easy and the hotel was comfortable."

"This was fine for a 12 hour stay before a very early flight out of Portland. Drive to the airport from here is very easy and quick, and Ubers were easy to get. They have a shuttle to the airport, BUT it's earliest departure from the hotel is 4:30 a.m. We needed to leave closer to 4:00, so this did not so us any good. I wish the description on hotels.com had included that detail. Overall, the hotel is a little run-down, the room (2nd floor) was very dark, only a small pair of 2-ft tall windows at ceiling level. Elevator nearest our room was being worked on. No roll-aways available. Workout room was small, but fine. Staff was very helpful and friendly."

"The Inn at St. John’s was welcoming and everything was clean though a bit run down. Our bathroom was across the hall which we found interesting. The day we arrived was unusually hot and the room was very warm. We notified an employee who pushed some buttons on the AC and said it was working. The second employee, who we called later, agreed the AC was not working but said he couldn’t do anything. We barely slept in an 83 degree room. When we checked out, we asked for compensation and were told the owner would be notified. Our emails regarding the broken AC were never answered and we never received any compensation for a very uncomfortable night at the Inn at St. John’s."
