"The Inn is perfectly located for enjoying Kirkby Stephen. The staff - especially Jacqui - is super helpful and kind. Really enjoyed our brief time there. Our friends who stayed down the street were wishing they had booked here. Be prepared to carry luggage upstairs and know the bed isn’t super big by American standards. "

"Room was freezing with no heating, both radiators not working. No bedside table, kettle just on the floor. Bedside lamp not working. No lampshade just a solitary bulb. Single pane glass window which was broken. Wooden toilet seat was warped and dirty due to excessive moisture intake. "

"The cottage was pristine, we felt like we were the first guests. It is a spacious, comfortable and stylish property and the owner’s attention to detail is second to none. Large beds and great showers. Very quiet at night so we slept well. Large private garden. Warcop is a lovely village with good walks along the river & streams. The Chamley Arms around the corner was very welcoming but we just missed out on being able to eat there as they are starting serving meals in July. However we enjoyed the food and friendly welcome at the Sandford Arms in the next village, Sunday lunch was particularly good. Despite the changeable weather we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cosy Nook Cottage, it is not a typical holiday let, it’s a wonderful home."
