"The place had a lot of potential, it just felt neglected and unloved. They had gone to a lot of effort to supply breakfast items in the shared kitchen and it was obviously visited each day by a host as it was tidied and rubbish cleared but some cupboards had random packets and crumbs,the salt and pepper pots were dirty and sticky. It just needs a bit deeper clean and there was piles of rubbish just outside the kitchen. The room was also a bit tired. Beds were comfy and there was tea, coffee, kettle and fridge but the wardrobe door was blocked from opening by a wonky cupboard door and the inside was really dusty. Good shower and plenty of hot water. The outside is awful -we felt intimidated turning up on the first evening. The front door and windows were filthy and had old faded paper signs with check-in instructions...this could so easily be cleaned up and made inviting. Overall it was ok but with a little attention to detail could be so much better."

"We had a warm welcome, good information upon arrival and we paid a very enjoyable visit to the indoor pool and spa. The lady in the spa was very helpful and did not put any pressure on us to leave though it was the last hour. Disappointed we could not wear flip flops into pool area - always afraid of slipping, Pool and jacuzzi excellent and very clean.. Good variety of food at dinner and reasonably priced. Lovely comfy room , a little dated but very comfortable. Breakfast lots of choice. Overall very good value"
