Beautiful cliff path walks very close to the Soap Barn - no need to get into the car - & lovely swimming spots at Manobier & Swan Lake Bay. Manobier is a charming village with a pub, shop & amazing castle. Highly recommended."

"Unfortunately I had an unpleasant stay at the Middlegate Hotel - I stayed for 2 nights in Sept. 2025. There was very loud music playing late into the night (until 11pm) on a weekday which made it impossible for me to sleep. A band playing very loud music right under my room. This is not acceptable and made my stay at the hotel a miserable and a very negative experience. And during the day there were strange people coming by my window and looking into and inspecting my room thereby violating my privacy. Again - this is unacceptable. Thirdly, the shower was out of order and of course no one was present at the reception. A functioning shower is essential as well as privacy and quiet night time."
