"Maybe it was just room 235. Safe is broken… I know how to use. Refrigerator we had fixed which they did. I wish the owner of the property would stay and shower in room 235. Starts out alright till the water becomes abruptly scalding. Generally needs major adjustments every minute. Now what really pissed us off was we arrived late Saturday and ate the Sunday buffet. Could have been better but was fine. The property owner decided to have1 staff present to keep up with all the food and drinks. Good luck with that. The cheap property owner now only offers menu items M-F. Great, except there is 1 waiter for 30+ puzzled people. I waited over an hour along with numerous other guest. What are they thinking? The waitress tried. Typical skeleton crew to make extra money. I’ve stayed at other Double Trees that performed much better. Oh, almost forgot, 2 bartenders for about 12 guest at night. Get rid of a bartender and hire some morning staff!! Don’t get me wrong, Nice people-decent property. Poor staffing decisions. If I was the owner I would be fixing some basic yet obvious issues."

"AC worked. Have had better breakfasts at other hotels, it was basic: eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, donuts. No fruit, no healthy offerings. Only received room attendance once, even when asked. We were there 4 nights. Broken furniture, closet door upon arrival. Notified staff immediately. No one ever assisted. Laundry onsite but they had no soap for purchase and did not intend on getting any. Returning with luggade full of dirty cloths. "

"An exceptional experience we had during our recent stay at your hotel. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean, and we were impressed by the courteous and efficient service provided by all staff members, from valet parking to housekeeping. We particularly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the bar and the stunning view from the gym. Additionally, the hotel’s location perfectly suited the events and tours we had planned. We also greatly appreciated the innovative "Stash" concept. A memorable. We look forward to returning in the future. "

"Understaffed. Unable to accommodate guests wanting breakfast (without a wait) despite plenty of tables set and ready. They said this was due to kitchen staffing. Very strange for a 5 star hotel. Pool very small and unable to get lounger. "

"Breakfast fine, parking tight but there is a garage backup. Hotel staff seems helpful but are totally ineffective to solve our non functional TV after many requests to solve the problem. "

"I booked this hotel based on the pool. When we got there, it was drained. There was no notice stating it was not in service at time of stay. Other area hotels had their pools open at the time of stay so I had no reason to think otherwise. This hotel is also under construction and there was also no notice stating that as well. There are dehumidifiers lining the hallway and the new wallpaper is falling off the hallway walls. We also accidentally left an outfit hanging in the closet and it couldn’t be found even though they have a lost and found just for this situation. "

"Enjoyed 4 nights at The Francis Marion Hotel. Great location, walkable to all downtown attractions and restaurants. The Swamp Fox had a great menu, and it was nice to have a Starbucks on site. Staff was attentive and helpful. We we’re in town for the Cooper River Bridge run. Would definitely stay again!"

"Overall, people were friendly and professional. Location is a great plus. However, the room, especially the restroom and furniture needs to be upgraded. this would have a higher rating if the restroom was in better condition. Everything was fairly clean just very outdated."

"Breakfast menu was fine but the bakery items, croissants in particular, could be much better. Room clean, comfortable and stylish. Staff helpful and friendly. Welcome drink a nice touch. Bar inside and out was attractive and comfortable. The cushions another pool need to be recovered. I do not think you should reserve and make guests pay for the couches by the pool."
