"We travelled to Penticton for a family gathering the last weekend in May. The Balcomo was perfect for some of our get togethers. The pool was heated and so nice. We loved the hot tub, cold plunge pool and the dry sauna- literally felt like we were at a spa! The restaurant was fabulous. The room we were in was great- everything we needed and super clean. The grounds are extremely well maintained and beautiful! We are already planning to return! Can’t say enough on how much we loved our stay."

"Our first time here, and won't be our last! Everything is here, lodging, some shops, restaurants, bars, hot spring pools and views! We want to come back for at least a three night stay to really relax and reset from the day to day of regular life. Glad we came"

"Nothing open Everything was absolutely filthy No working showers in the pool area. Pool was filthy All outlets and restaurants closed Checked in at 12:30 am got a call at 7:00 am to tell me they didn't charge me properly at check-in and I need to come to the front desk. Not when I got up but immediately. They still couldn't figure it out and made wait around for a manger until after 8:00. Coffee machine wasn't working every morning I was there. DoNOT stay here"

"What wasn't apparent when we booked this hotel was that it is still under construction, so no pool, no breakfast area and not even any ice buckets although the person at the front desk was able to provide me with a plastic bag. The light fixtures in the foyer are beautiful and it will, I am sure, be lovely once the reno is completed. The room was comfortable enough, the bathroom well stocked with Crabtree and Evelyn products and nice bath towels. You cannot turn on the water without being in the shower, which is a bit inconvenient when it is necessary to endure a blast of very cold water before the warm kicks in. All in all, it was an excessively expensive bed and bath given nothing else was operable. Having stayed here many times in this hotel's previous existence, we do understand what is missing at this point. The location is great...near to restaurants and shopping."

"I have stayed at this hotel 5-6 times over the past couple years and I’m wondering if management or staff have changed. It seems the cleanliness and attention to detail has declined. In the breakfast area they had no paper towel and machines for water were out of service. Not major things but a bunch of small things added up to a mediocre stay."
