"Lovely hotel. Centrally located to city centre and harbour. Close to Temple Meads train station but not close enough for train noise. Only one small issue that when we went down for breakfast (Sunday morning) the restaurant was open until 11am so got down at 10am. There was loads of people there but no staff. Queue for hot food was looking as everyone was waiting for staff to take their egg orders as it was cooked fresh. Finally managed to get other hot food when queue moved but gave up on eggs. Food replenishment was very slow too. Shame as the rest of our stay was lovely and the staff we did deal with were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again."

"While struggling with the self check in computers I asked a staff member if I could check in with him and he just said “no it’s self check in. Use the computer”. He still had to create the room key, which didn’t work, so I returned to the lobby for a new one, which also didn’t work. I was then told “I don’t think any key will work, except for mine. So if you go out, I’ll have to let you back in.” You would think he would offer to move us to another room where a key did work. But no such luck. Once in the room, it was spacious and had a decent shower. The extractor fan, that turned on automatically with the light, was extremely loud!"

"Stayed in this hotel many years ago. It's ideally located, clean, responsive and helpful staff. Well positioned for next door carparking. Quality place to stay, it's a little tired in a few places, but that's being a bit picky. Very worthwhile using this hotel."

"Great location opposite Bristol Hippodrome. Clean, comfortable & spacious room - was upgraded to higher floor and was so quiet. Great views. Breakfast decent. Staff friendly, lift speedy , good value for money."
