"We have stayed at The Shalimar Hotel, every year for last at least 30 years now, as it was good for all the amenities and staff were very friendly and looked after us very well! This time, there were too many issues, which I have submitted to the hotel on their feedback firm and I was very verbal too with complaints. "The hotel behind Saifee Hospital. A side entrance a bit difficult to locate. No elevators..one has to climb 2sets of stairs/2x21=42 straight steps!!! Few rooms smelled high humidity.. the whole inside walls was tiled with what looks like rcream bricks and outline done with green marble. Positive: Great location near shops, train station, walkable to Central Mumbai area, good big bed deluxe big room, clean. Negative: They don't provide toilet paper ! noisy employees all night in the corridor...

"The room was decent sized. However there was water everywhere as the ice melted in the fridge and spread all over. We noticed this as soon as we got in the room. So this shows that there was no prior check done before providing the keys. After 3-4 attempts they somehow removed the water from fridge but the fridge did not work at all.
