I loved everything about Wotton Hotel, worth going for a walk around Wotton Estate it’s like breath of fresh air. Last but not least the food!! "As a single woman travelling alone, I rarely feel unsafe in a hotel, but unfortunately at this hotel I did and I never leave negative reviews. Upon arriving the reception area had a few Eastern European men ‘mooching’ about, there was nobody on reception to greet me, but knowing this is a check in remotely hotel that was fine, had it not been for the men hanging around the area. My room although clean had a horrible smell and the balcony door was unlocked. I had a terrible nights sleep, not just because the bed is so hard, but I woke at every noise thinking someone was entering the room. At 4:45am there was a few knocks on my door - I don’t know if this was a room mistake, but just added to my concern. There wasn’t any mention of having to pay for parking onsite, so was annoyed at having to pay £10 to park overnight- especially when in the morning I could see I could have parked outside the hotel for free. I have since read that this hotel is/was housing asylum seekers, so if you’re a lone woman travelling alone; I would avoid - equally if you don’t want to sleep on a rock hard bed avoid. "

"I messaged them early on the day of checkin to advise i would be late. Upon arriving they could not find my reservation and kept me waiting with no resolution at 2.30am just wanting to go to sleep I had to contact 24 hour guest support for them to find the reservation and eventually check me into my room but blame was placed on me by customer support saying that they couldn't guarantee a message was received as i booked through hotels.com and not them. I stopped in a motorway service to ensure I wasn't driving tired and then got blamed for their rubbish systems. Pretty disgusted"

"Hotel is easy to locate and convenient for access to motorway (M25) and into Reigate centre where I found a car charger and a curry house and other shops. Reception were welcoming, had to take luggage and golf clubs up a flight of stairs then to end of corridor, no lift I could see. Inconvenient but wouldn't be great for someone with less mobility. Room was a good size, bathroom clean. Shower gels etc provided as was tea, coffee, biscuits. All was dated in appearance though, from downstairs bar and lounge to the room and bathroom, all could use modernizing e.g carpets and decor and furniture. Breakfast was average, cooked food wasn't great quality but edible. All was OK for the price paid"
