Hotels near Boca Chica Beach

"These are recently renovated “condos” with 2 beds/2 baths, full kitchen, dining, and living area. Master bath is very nicely done with a giant shower for two. Very large deck/porch off each unit. The A/C went out but the friendly front desk and maintenance crew repaired it quickly. Resort has a large pool and large sand beach area with plenty of chairs and cabanas. New gas grills are near the pool area. There is a tiki bar on site with food. No complaints about this property whatsoever. There is a kayak tour guide right next door and I highly recommend their night kayak tour. The property is at the opposite end of the island to Old town/Duvall street. It’s about a 20 min bike ride to Duvall, and a 9 minute bike ride to Publix."

"This was a wonderful stay. The property had a shuttle which provided transportation to two stops in the Key West area. The staff was wonderful and accommodating for any questions or problems. Only issues we had, elevators were broken so had to carry heavy suitcases up the stairs. Also the hot tub was broken for 4 of our days and we were very disappointed. The main restaurant and bar area were excellent with great daily happy hour specials. The pool restaurant and bar were also excellent with friendly bartenders. The pool was well maintained and plenty of towels for guests. We will definitely stay here again. A bit off the busy Duval St activity which we liked, but with the shuttle, we could get there within 15 minutes."

"Property has amazing views, pool is wonderful and entire area was a great tropical island feel. Cheekie Bar service was amazing. Room was spacious and clean. Very Nice Front Desk- missing that focus on GREETING, and Eye contact. Felt like being busy super cedes that wonderful smile and customer service interaction. We did have a slight issue with room NOT having balcony which was an oversight on my end. I did ask for room with balcony and would pay the difference but was meant with a cold Sorry, we are fully booked. which I knew was not accurate for I went on website to check before hand and a 2-Queen Bed room with Pool view balcony was available. My called to inquire and front desk said there was a room available and that she could book immediately, thinking this was a NEW reservation I am guessing. Wife said she would call right back. When I called to inquire again was now told there is a room available but NOT for the timeline I requested, I reminded my wife just called with the same timeline we was staying. It got awkward and I decided to suck it up and not enjoy a balcony room. However, this is our 6st stay at Hampton Inn going back to the Best Western days. But left a bitter taste and we did decide to look into other locations next year. This location and Facilities is a wonderful location and has a lot of our family memories of KeyWest."

"great variety on the menus. we enjoyed our stay. My only negative comment is related to the loud conversations of our neighbors on the balcony two days and also a couple were sitting by the fire pits while they were on a phone call that they put on speaker. These incidents made our time relaxing on the balcony less enjoyable."
