The tops of the lamp shades were dusty. The staff at the front desk were not as friendly as some places. The restaurant staff was friendly. I was able to walk to campus which was good.

Mountain Lake Lodge
Everything was nice.we arrived early and wasn't allowed to check in till 4. So don't arrive early. Food was good and the bar was nice.

Comfort Inn Blacksburg University Area
Overall, the service from Checkin to Breakfast was good. The window curtains do not close and the spotlights for the trees were very bright. I would suggest asking for rooms facing the back of the property. Breakfast had hot options. Eggs, biscuits and gravy and freshly made waffles.
