They had placed a couple in our family room as they were also without a room due to over booking so they then had to move them yet again to put us in there, we then had to wait an hour for them to sort it (it was 6pm at this point with 2 young children) and when we got in there were crumbs on the bedside table. "The location is within walking distance of the town centre and is close to the promenade. The room was spacious and extremely clean. We didn’t see any staff because this hotel is a let yourself in place, we were given a number to use for the front entrance and a separate one for our room, plus a telephone number for if we struggled. We were pleasantly surprised for the amount we paid, perfectly adequate for a budget room for a night away."

Park House Hotel

8/10 Good

"The room was clean, well decorated and spacious. We appreciated the drinks and biscuits available in the room on arrival. The entertainment was not to our liking it wasn't appealing to a young family. Breakfast was ok I would have preferred hash browns to potatoes. We had a lovely break away but would look for somewhere closer to the busier parts in future as it was a lot of walking. Overall we had a great time 7/10"

"Breakfast good. Front desk can be friendlier . My room had a leak that looked like it’s been there for a while . Light switch button fell off and window was hard to open. Door lock also worked every other time. This hotel can use some fresh coat of paint and lots of maintenance. I loved it 8 years ago , but I was disappointed this time . "

"We stayed at savoy blackpooland here is a list of the worst complaints that we suffered as two 80year olds My wife and myself paid over £1000 ,to stay and spent two nights with no heating had to wear our outdoor coats in bed The lifts was not working for 3 days and I walk with a stick It took 2 days to get heaters for our room and one of them was broken Because I recently suffered heart failure tackling stairs was a gamble After our meal we had to sit in a freezing lounge We we were given 3 different times for breakfast service by members of staff and had to get meals in Our suite was never. Cleaned during the whole week we stayed Could not get a drink of coffee after 8 pm Food was good Reception was quick"
