"I was given the room on the ground floor. There are two guest rooms and a door leading to what I assume are living quarters for the live in manager.
I was constantly disturbed by the banging door of the manager, followed by a grinding noise, talking outside my bedroom door (the check in and out area) and even a dog barking inside the staff area. This noise was throughout the day and into the early hours. It then started again at around 08:45 in the morning, for check outs, with seemingly no consideration for the guest in the room trying to lie in.
The room itself was lovely, king size bed, modern powerful shower, clean and comfortable. There was no window in the room, which didn’t bother me, but might some people.
I would definitely stay here again, but NO WAY accept a room on the ground floor if you want a lie in or a quiet stay."
