"La Villa des Consuls is located in the heart of old Sarlat, with all the amenities that entails. The staff is nice and helpful, putting us in touch with a great guide and setting up our taxis to and from the rail station.

is tasty and reasonably priced, but above all, our two bedroom room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. It also included a usable kitchen and a small balcony overlooking the main commercial street. Despite that, it was quiet. I highly recommend this hotel."

"The reception staff here was outstanding. I feel bad I lost the note with their names because they truly were exceptional. All four ladies that staffed the front desk in morning and evening were people who see hospitality as a calling not a job. They were kind, patient, gave us good directions, listened to our excitement and shared it. We stayed 5 days so we saw quite a bit of them.
