"As I used to live close by to Balluta Bay in the 1960s this location was perfect and a blast from the past. Our Sliema Suite was brilliant and the pool on the roof with its panoramic view across to Valletta and St Julian’s a massive bonus. Wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again."

"The place was very quiet and clean. The rooms were spacious. You do need to rent a towel for €3 if you don’t have one with you. I would recommend staying here. "

"Amazing stay at the hotel for 5 days! Travelled as a family with young children. The rooms are spotless and the service was amazing from first night to check out. Staff were very professional and welcoming and made the children feel at home.
Breakfast buffet was fabulous with many choices available from made to order omelette to many other choices. Eliana at the breakfast time was amazing, kids were looking for her each morning. Overall location, comfort and the beautiful heated pools made the hotel stand out in the true 5 star service it offered.
Malta was beautiful and hope to come back again.
Thank you Marriott for making our stay wonderful ❤️ "
"Fantastic service, staff were incredibly helpful. Executive lounge was great for drinks and snacks throughout the day. Restaurants on site and nearby were good. Lots of loungers and indoor pool was heated"
"Perfect location in San Julian.
Building is getting old, but everything works fine. I had few issues with the internet but the staff was quick to bring me solutions, which I really appreciated.
Be ware of some house maid who enters your room even when the "do not disturb" sign is at the door."
"Everything about the AX The Palace was truly amazing, loads to around this location. It’s only a short walk to the sea front with connections to Valletta. All the tours operators are near by so booking is easy. We found a local shopping centre only 14mins away called The Point and getting a Bolt locally was so easy. The hotel has everything from a Roof top bar, indoor pool and gym. "
"It is a great place in great location however the hotel is tired especially for a very expensive terrace room. It is stuck in a time warp and worn out - bed, chairs carpets. The staff in the bars were very slow and poor, particularly at the poolside bar.
The addition of a shuttle bus up the hill is great unless 8 Americans want to pile in as well and were abbusive to us and the driver. For 400 euros a night I also expected breakfast!!"
"The room was beautifully decorated, with all the comforts we'd expect and more. The amenities at the hotel are great. Use of the gym for free was a real bonus for us and one of the main reasons for booking. It's a fantastic facility. Access to the outdoor pool at Manta was straightforward and another great bonus. However, the service at Manta leaves a lot to be desired, though I accept this is not likely anything to do with the hotel. "
