"What a lovely hotel! Beautiful domed ceiling over the lobby stairs. We were welcomed with a friendly reception desk and given an early check-in. The location is so perfect to explore this charming city. Canals with regular short cruises, charming streets with excellent shops and a lovely town square surrounded with an outstanding choice of restaurants. Would highly recommend a stay here."

"Outside, the hotel looked relatively small, but it felt huge inside. Extremely chic and modern decor at reception, the room was a little dated, however very tidy. The staff at the hotel were excellent, we couldn't fault them. We were able to check in early as our room was ready, and we also made use of their luggage room upon check-out. Superb location, in the heart of Haarlem. We would definitely return here if we were to visit Haarlem again, for the location itself. Hair dryer, kettle and bathroom facilities were great. We did not select the breakfast option as 19,50 EUR per person felt expensive to us, especially with so many other options nearby. The only downfall of our stay was the temperature of our room. We stayed at the hotel during warm weather, and our room faced the sun in the heat of the day. While there was a fan (appreciated!), it was incredibly warm in the room which made it difficult to sleep. The window only opened so far, which was frustrating but understand this is likely for safety reasons. The room and hotel would be perfect with air-conditioning. Another super minor issue for us was the lack of clothes hangers - we were limited to just three for two people. We would've expected at least three each. Other than this, we really recommend the hotel."

"The hotel is very nice and in a good location. Thought breakfast lacked a little - too many pastries and missing other staples of a breakfast. The outside of the hotel is a little overgrown and can be a bit intimidating when arriving home of an evening as quite a lot of people hang around - however they keep themselves to themselves and don’t cause any issues."

"We arrived after a 7 and a half hour drive. The young man on reception was very polite and attentive. In our room, I realised that the bedding and pillows were feathers, which I have an extreme allergy to. My wife talked to him and within minutes, knocked on our door with complete new polyester (I assume) quilts and pillows. The next morning, we have been dealt with a very nice young lady and man. The location was perfect. Hidden away in a small wooded area, and still only 10 minutes walk to Heemskerk town centre, where there were plenty of restaurants and bars. We have decided that whenever we are in the Amsterdam area, we will certainly book to stay here. "

"Wir wollten ein paar ruhige Tage in den Niederlanden machen, dazu war das Hotel sehr gut geeignet. Ruhige Lage, nah am Strand mit einigen Strandbars für den Abend, ausreichend Parkplätze, auch unser E-Auto konnten wir dort aufladen. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer im dritten Stock, Balkon mit gemütlichen Sesseln, moderne Einrichtung, schönes Bad, alles sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, das Personal nett. Von IJmuiden aus kann man gut Ausflüge nach Amsterdam, Haarlem oder Alkmaar machen. Ijmuiden selbst hat nichts touristisches zu bieten."

"Smooth check-in. Was expecting mini-fridge to keep out lunch stuff cold but there wasn’t one so had to bin our second day lunch which was annoying. No loo roll & aircon didn’t work so struggled to sleep. We have pretty low standards, so just went with it as literally just slept in the room"
