When I checked in and was told about the charge, I was caught completely off guard. When I explained that my animal is a registered ESA, the front desk staff were polite but firm — no exceptions. The room itself was fine, and the property is clean. But the lack of transparency around fees and the blanket policy that ignores the distinction between pets and emotional support animals left a bad taste. If you’re going to market yourself as pet friendly, at minimum be upfront about the costs. A $100 fee for one night is steep, and finding out at check-in is a frustrating way to start a stay. Travelers with ESAs, take note — call ahead and confirm the fee policy before booking, because “pet friendly” here doesn’t mean what you might expect."
