"The room was very clean. Air conditioner great. Staff excellent. Loved the location to Alexandria Bay dowtown. Only a short drive. Pool & pool area very clean & nice. Great location to the restaurant that served breakfast & lunch. Called the North Star Restaurant. Staff there were great."

"The Rock Ledge is an older motel. It certainly fit the bill for our short stay. The only reason for the 4 Start review is the overall age and smaller bathroom."

"I booked the least expensive room which turned out to have a view of the top of the overhang of the building. The room had a window with a curtain that smelled so bad I was afraid to open it for fear it would spread it’s funk throughout the room. The window which looked like I could have opened it was covered in filth and dead bugs. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave worked well. Breakfast was a basic carb fest. If you like to eat cereal and bread you are in luck! The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday, the 2 nights that I was there. To be fair the property is beautiful. It’s on the river with lots of places to sit and enjoy views of the river. All in all it was disappointing."

"A second great stay. There is just no view like it. Facing the river and having the ships pass in front and seeing the lights of the other shore and the castle is just magical. I tried the pool this time and it was nice. Coffee maker in room as well as brewed coffee in lobby was helpful. Food nearby was good. I recommend this hotel."

"What a beautiful house and great staff, met us at the door gave us a great tour, owner was very responsive and an absolute delight to do business with. If you’re looking somewhere to stay in the Alexandria Bay Area I highly suggest this place! Clean comfy quiet beautiful property. Added bonus is right on a golf coarse also!"
