"I was charged a deposit twice. I asked the staff they told me not to worry that it would be taken care of while I’ve checked out went to eat breakfast. My card was ran an additional $105.91. I had to come back to the hotel deal with the same staff. They let me know that they don’t have a manager on the weekends. I’m from Arizona so this is very difficult for me because now I have to catch my flight and go back. I called customer service. They said there’s nothing they can really do besides for make a complaint but at this point, my card is being ran by this hotel and there’s nothing I can do about it and there’s nobody to talk to customer service. Let me know that somebody would reach out to me in a week so as of right now, I am out of $205.91. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone at first sight. It looks like a great place to stay but once you get inside the room, don’t make coffee because roaches will come out of the coffee maker. There was dead roaches inside of the hairdryer bag. I wasn’t gonna bring that up, but since they want to charge my card, I think that the public should know. "

"Beds were so hard and squeaked so badly. Absolutely no padding on them felt like we were better off sleeping on the cold tile floor. Coffee machine didn’t work and it took the maintenance guy hours just to fix the tv. We stayed in a waterfront villa paying $470 a night and I don’t think we will be returning. We had to go home and sleep we were so exhausted"

"Will definitely be back at this hotel. We had a great time and the area is quite and accessible to all the restaurants. Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great and they have clean area and room. Highly recommended hotel to stay inn every time you are planning to visit san diego."

"Fun hotel theme but could use a major renovation in the tower rooms. The property is beautiful and relaxing and so close to the beach. Don’t forget to pick up your beach chairs that are included in your fees. (That wasn’t mentioned on checking in). "

"This cute hotel is a nice stop - especially if you’re wanting to explore their property on the water or pop in to see a show. As we checked in late on a weekday night, we could see the tiki fire-pit area, which was so fun and really lovely to explore. The room definitely left much to be desired… it smelled overpoweringly like an older woman’s musty perfume and gave me a headache all night. The beds were pretty uncomfortable- soft with no support, pillows also offered no support. The shower pressure was strong, and the provided bath products smelled refreshing and worked well. The entrance to our room was actually through the patio which was very weird (we were given a heads up by the kind front desk person, so all good, just still weird). Once we got the patio door open, there were wooden shutters directly behind that we had to battle to enter! It was awkward, but once inside, the shutters looked very beachy and a bit fun. I believe the property is a Mid-Mod era build, so I fully give it the historic nod, allowing for a bit of oddness and quirky design. Once we woke up and got a chance to explore the property, we fell in love with the birds and Koi, the cool concert green, and the fun pool and bar area (we had to get going so did not swim or order any food). Coffee from the machine in the lobby was actually pretty good (there was a small drip machine in the room, but honestly, I can’t do those in room machines anymore - 😝 iykyk)! Would stay again if we got a better room."
