"This was a lovely property hosted by Marielle. We were in the upstairs bedroom but she had an elevator installed so it was no problem. The room (overlord room) had a direct view of the Bayeux Cathedral. It looked fantastic in the evening light. The room was rather overdone in the WW2 theme, but overall a very comfortable stay. It is literally across the road from the cathedral and tapestry museum with lots of shops and cafes nearby. The plus for us was laundry and an onsite car park"

"This is a lovely place to stay. Conveniently situated in a quiet street, in a village close to both Ouistreham and Caen, it makes a perfect base to explore the area. Our hostess was great: welcoming, helpful, funny and very friendly. The house itself is beautiful and our room was extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need. "The reason we booked this apartment was that they advertised baby cots, which I reserved and emailed separately to confirm. When we were arrived they confirmed a cot was set up in the room for us. "You need to know where the rooms are; on the map, it looks right on the beach, and the rooms have sea views. However, when they say “Côté jardin”, it’s another building, a few doors down and across the street. If you get a room on the second floor, there is no elevator so be aware. These are just practical tips, don’t let it scare you away. The place was great, still mere metres from the beach, very clean, the breakfast was nice, the staff is excellent. Make sure to try their restaurant, it is great. We had a family room, with twin beds in a loft, which the kids loved. It’s a nice walk to the Juno Beach centre, which every Canadian has to see once. In the morning there is a fish market, giving you a local vibe."
