The location was so convenient. You have a gas station next door and a waffle house! Like bruh, that's what I'm talking about. Then I go in, we have a couch, a table, a mini desk with chair, mini fridge, microwave, and a TV and full body mirror. Sorry no photos guys, my trip was so tight on time the hotel was last minute but I appreciated the stay and the price. Yes the walls are thin, so if someone talking outside you gone hear it. But all you have to do is step outside and look at em crazy and they'll be quiet. And yes you will hear them loud cars passing cause your basically right off the freeway. Other than that I'm very grateful for my stay and safety.
Clean room, friendly staff. Super loud area. Had river hillbillies racing around in super loud trucks constantly between 3-6 am one day was rough. Otherwise convenient location to access downtown Baton Rouge and great value

Room 111 stay
Our stay was pleasant and convenient location to what we wanted. Yes, some days, crossing the Mississippi River bridge was longer, but not too bad. The room was missing an ironing board, but it was not needed by us. The hair dryer didn't work, thankfully we brought our own. We stayed in room 111.
Room 216, bed closest to bathroom has bed bugs! We asked for a different room. They allowed us to change rooms. Staff was friendly. It is what it is. However, this is a very well worn hotel and by no means anything other than a cheap room for the night (and not cheap enough).

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Liked location - access to shopping and restaurants.
Didn't like that I had to get my room re-keyed every night. Stayed on the second floor - no elevator.
No directions to use TV - turn on, change the input to HDMI 1, then you had to point the remote to the white box that was located behind the dresser. Had to get up from bed to change channel.
When we first arrived we noticed the property looks nothing like the pictures posted online. Place is really run down. We were first told some of the doors doesn’t lock and would have to contact the office every time we entered and left the property. We also booked non smoking rooms but was told me had to stay in the smoking rooms. After being stern with the front desk they miraculously had rooms with working doors that was also non smoking. When we arrived in the room it had a really strong cigarette smell, smoke detectors were plugged out, shower head dirty and roaches in the room. The cleaning lady was extremely nice and helpful only upside to this motel that they advertised as a hotel. We had a late flight back home and asked if we can do a later check out time and was told that wasn’t possible. I do not recommend this motel to anyone. Especially if you have kids.
The staff of the hotel are very friendly and have no problem with them. My only concerns are of the insane roach problems, spiders, and mold. This is my second time staying there and I got sick the exact same way. My food was no good because roaches took it over during the night and are in the microwave and fridge. There’s mold somewhere in the room because I once I started to feel sick I tested the air and it was positive for it. Small spiders crawling inside. Shower head isn’t stable so when you try to adjust it the whole line moves shaking the wall. I had to sit my bags outside for a day to make sure nothing traveled with me but they got in my truck and had to bomb it. If they would take care of the bugs and mold this would be a very great place to stay. But I can’t do it again after that. Not trying to destroy the place but trying to raise the attention to them
I hate to have to leave a bad review because we've stayed here many times for the past few years due to family in the area and it was a nice little place to stop. A lot has changed. They did allow an early check in which was great, but we found out that the pool was closed indefinitely. The main reason we stayed here. My kiddo got over it and we found other things to do, but we were still disappointed. On top of that they no longer serve breakfast and coffee. They said due to Covid, but I've stayed here since then and remember the morning coffee. There was also no phone or alarm clock in the room. The rooms are clean and updated, but they only offer soap and lotion in the bathroom. There is also no accompliments for the in-room coffee. I know it's a low budget "no-frills" motel, but they've really gotten serious on the no-frills part. Unfortunately, we won't be staying here again. Which is really too bad because we used to like it :(
