Lovely pool and fitness amenities, gym was well appointed but could be bigger. The rooms were glorious and comfy, though the bathrooms aren’t well thought out. The dining room was pretty woeful, not well maintained (grubby in places), and though the staff were mostly helpful and obliging, service leaves much to be desired and the food was ordinary at best, quality questionable and option were meagre.

The hotel one of the best in Bath and it was not our first visit. The hotel has a fine ambiance - maybe some redecoration is needed- a good pool - attentive staff - and a great British Breakfast! Good parking and a good walk into Bath

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, the spa and pools were great to use after sightseeing. Bath town is only about a 15/20 minute walk with lots to see. If we come back to Bath we would definitely stay here again. We only had one bar meal whilst staying but that was very nice too .

Overall stay was fab, staff were amazing and the place is very welcoming. We had a spa day and overnight stay which was amazing the only thing I will say is the spa amenities could do with a revamp like the steam room and sauna area

Loved every moment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful setting within the grounds, and well maintained hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and professional. I needed a few more Vegetarian options...not Vegan...on the menu, however, I was able to find something. Nevertheless, I would go back to this lovely hotel, with a short drive into the City Centre.

Absolutely great hotel. Highly recommend. Lovely gardens and peaceful setting. Close to town - a nice 15-20 min walk through the park straight into the centre of town. Room was big, clean and beds really comfy with soft feather pillows. Dog friendly too! The spa area was excellent. Steam tools, saunas and an ice room. The best part was the outdoor thermal pool. Definitely would return.

The staff really made this stay special… particularly the restaurant staff. We arrived and had no trouble parking - I think if busier it could be an issue. The check in was smooth and the receptionist were really helpful. The room was lovely - the hotel and the grounds are stunning. Food was exceptional as was the service. Will definitely look to stay again!

We stayed many years back,when the hotel was owned by Rocco Forte(my husband had a nice chat with Adam Faith ,the actor and 1960’s pop star,a couple of times during our stay back then).There is sadly no comparison to back in the day. The Hotel desperately needs a complete overhaul of all the bedrooms and bathrooms,the sinks and baths have badly chipped enamel, the window frames are rotten.Our bed was so badly made,it looked slept in,and we actually ended up asking for a different room,as having noticed urine from a previous occupation around the floor of the toilet pan . Also no phone to speak to reception,so my husband had to keep going down to the desk. It is actually very sad to see this beautiful building,set in gorgeous grounds,so run down. Hall and reception area is tip top ,belying the upstairs bedrooms .Breakfast was very good,and staff were lovely,on the positive side. What a shame,is all i can say,for this wonderful building,set in the gorgeous city of Bath .
