The staff were welcoming and helpful- I was delighted that they had kindly upgraded me. The hotel itself was beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout. I had a lovely breakfast. The location was close to the centre and the major attractions. I had a very enjoyable stay.
Fab eclectic interior.
Pleasant helpful staff.
Good location in a classic Bath street, near enough to get everywhere but far enough to be nice and quiet.
All you needed in our room such as iron and hairdryer.
Comfy mattress.
Small moan was the room was quite snug and one of wardrobe door handles was broken.
We had a wonderful stay , great location, helpful and friendly staff, parking is a little difficult. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.Bath was a lovely romantic place to visit which offers something for everyone. What a wonderful birthday weekend I had . Thank you
Lovely boutique hotel in an excellent location Central to Bath . Literally around the corner from Bath rugby . Room was very nice and the service was friendly.
We loved the meat and cheese platter with Old fashioned cocktails in the cocktail bar in the evening.
We enjoyed walking around and getting acquainted with the people and town.
The room was clean. The staff was very helpful and we had a wonderful night’s sleep.
This was our first time at Dukes, having tried lots of hotels in Bath over the years,
we will definitely return, there was so much to like. We thought it was great value for money, especially over a bank holiday weekend. The location was excellent, a few minutes walk to town.
Our beautiful room overlooked the street, a perfect view of the picturesque buildings. The decor in the room was lovely and the toiletries were great, a Dyson hairdryer and coffee machine were an added bonus.
Our breakfasts were perfectly cooked and the compote with the yogurt was delicious.
We didn’t make use of the bar and terrace but we will next time. The complimentary pick and mix is a nice touch, everything has been thought of.
Being able to park at The Bird is very useful.
Thank you for our leaving gift of the tasty brownies.
Looking forward to our next stay.
A very beautiful and unique hotel in a spectacular area just away from the tourist drag of Bath city center. The hotel has alot of character and period decor. Its an old hotel, so the heating was nit on, understandibly so as it was May. The plumbing is also not updated, so there is a hot tap and a cold tap at the sink. The facilities are adequate for a shorter stay.
The hotel is being upgraded, so there was alot of noise above us for our 2 night stay.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Location is amazing, building and rooms are great. Room is charming
NO elevator, if you have heavy suitcases, good luck. They offer you a convinient room for $75 on the first floor.
The mattresses are really tired, I am sure Jane Austin’s friends slept on them

We had a truly lovely stay at Dukes. The staff were exceptionally hospitable – warm, welcoming, and consistently attentive. A special shout-out to Skomante, Jordan, and Jay, who made our stay even more memorable with their kindness and outstanding service.
The room was neat, clean, and very comfortable, making it so easy to unwind after visiting the Christmas market and exploring the city. The hotel’s festive Christmas décor added a cosy, magical touch throughout our stay.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious each morning, with great variety and quality that set the perfect tone for the day.
We also loved the dinner included at Plate, The Bird, which offered fantastic food and a lovely dining experience.
A wonderful choice for a festive getaway in Bath. Highly recommended! 🎄✨
A wonderful stay. Very helpful staff, and a superb room with a fantastic bathroom. Incredibly good breakfast. Located in a quiet and nice street. A perfect place to stay in Bath for familiesMen
The room was excellent, with many period features and a view up to Prior Park. The staff were very attentive- nothing too much trouble. We have added it to our list of good places to stay in Bath

I was put right at the top. It might have been nice to be in a lower room as I had a lot of bags. No one answered the telephone. The room was a bit tired and worn, not worthy of the price paid. It felt more like an elderly bnb than a boutique hotel.
Beautiful, cosy, comfortable hotel if you don't need air conditioning. Ideal location and very friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent with a good combination of buffet and menu. The only downside for us was no lift. Unless a ground floor room is available, people with impaired mobility should not book this hotel, which is a shame.
The staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. They helped to make our visit in Bath more wonderful, giving us a map and advice on where to go and what to see. We arrived later and were assigned a room on the top floor - climbing the steps was a bit of a hassle, the bathroom and shower accommodations were a bit small, but other than this the facilities were very comfortable. We were able to find a place to park in front of the hotel and didn't have to get back in our car until we left town, everything was within walking distance. Our breakfast was wonderful.
