I fully paid for a three-night stay at Swiss Otel Büyük Efes İzmir through hotels.com for one adult and one child. My wife and daughter arrived at Swiss Otel Büyük Efes İzmir in the middle of the night after an 18-hour international journey, exhausted, only to be refused check-in. Despite presenting valid identification clearly proving that my wife is our daughter’s mother, Swiss Otel Büyük Efes İzmir insisted on a written consent form from me to allow our child to stay. This requirement was never communicated in advance, nor is it a standard or reasonable expectation in international hospitality. It also raises a serious concern—why should a woman need her husband’s written consent to stay at a hotel with her own child, especially when official identification clearly establishes the relationship? At the time, I was on a flight and unreachable, leaving my wife and child stranded in the middle of the night with no accommodation despite the stay being fully paid at Swiss Otel Büyük Efes İzmir. "Great location and overall value. Although there was a plumbing issue leaving water on the floor my first day, they corrected the issue the following day. The staff is professional but doesn’t seem to be as friendly as other hotels that I’ve stayed at in Türkiye. Excellent traditional Turkish breakfast! "
