"Very Average hotel. "

"Nice hotel lovely staff however restaurant was closed on Saturday night in July and on our return trip in August we were told that restaurant was shut for the holiday. Luckily there is lovely restaurant called "Le Talier De Didy's" that i can thoroughly recommend about 1 km away "

"Very helpful and friendly staff. We had a late check-in and the staff waited for us until 11pm. The hotel is outside the city and you have to go through a coded gate to get to the hotel parking. Good and secure parking."

"Martine was very welcoming and we had a lovely overnight stay at her B&B which had everything we needed. Mons itself had plenty to offer and I’m sure is beautiful most of the time unfortunately they were doing some serious maintenance while we were there and there was lots of the roads dug up. "

"We got there just after 6pm. The place was open but there is no reception, nor was anyone there to greet us and no phone number to call. Fortunately there was a couple of guys staying there who were able to call someone who let us into our room. I couldn’t remember if this was a pay at property or if we had prepaid so I asked the guy who told me we owed €75. "A wonderful stay in Le Cateau. Friendly people, clean rooms, wonderful breakfast. 5 minute walk from the Matisse museum. "

"Wonderfully quaint B&B in and old mill. Our room was right up in the roof space. Might not be suitabe for some as the stairs are very steep and windy, and our room had two low beams at face height, but it certainly had character and charm."
