"Amazing place and great location , Joao and his staff were very accommodating and helpful during my stay , would highly recommend and would book again when I’m back in Amarante , the breakfast at the bakery across the hotel was amazing and the staff there were very nice and helpful as well , I was in town in to prepare for a cycling race and they helped with a breakfast box the day of my race. "Staff were fabulous, special thanks to Ana, Bruno and Rita. Hotel was nice but tired, needs some TLC. Hotel is good for 2 nights, as dinner menu only changes every other day. Breakfast was satisfactory. As the accommodation was listed as a “wine hotel” we were expecting wine tastings and a sommelier."

"Excellent location, Quiet. Kind staff, beautiful view, beautiful room and clean, very nice breakfast. Superb pool area and terrasse overlooking the Douro Valley. I highly recommend. Only downside is the bathroom and toilet is in the bedroom open area. However, there are other bathrooms for more privacy in a well decorated cabin outside the room. "
