"The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious and the air conditioning was lovely during the hot weather. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options from fresh fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, hot cooked breakfast, fruit juice and tea and coffee. I do think the menu for the lunch evening food could have had more options and also the service could have been improved slightly. Although the staff were extremely friendly, unfortunately the service was quite slow, one evening we waited over 40 minutes for our meal. We had only been told about a long wait for the food after we had ordered our drinks and food, this should really have been advised as we entered the restaurant, not when we ordered. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would return of ever in the area."

"This hotel is ideally situated for both the charming quayside area and the city centre. Less than 10 minutes walk down a steep hill takes you to the river and canal with their restaurants. 10 minutes in the opposite direction gets you to the Cathedral. The hotel is well appointed and has a spacious car park (fees apply). Our room was very comfortable and nicely appointed, although there were some lighting faults that required repair."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was free! Breakfast was great - loved the sausages! The road was a little noisy but we did have window open and we were a bit warm despite there being a little fan in room. Great location as was walkable to city centre, train station and the quayside. Would recommend"

"Nice independent hotel. As others have mentioned the noise from the road is so loud and constant. But if you have some decent ear plugs that shouldn't stop you staying here. Great location for dinner at the Quay and free parking. O ly slight downside was having to pay £10 for a lost room card whilst standing watching them put a newpiece of plastic in the machine to allocate to room. This shouldn't really be £10 as the rooms are probably expensive enough. I'd probably stay again but mainly because of the location and parking. Staff are pleasant enough. Breakfast ok - altho the sausages were as cheap as chips."

"A great location. Co-op on the corner. Directly opposite the National Express/Flixbus bus stop. The Exeter bus station is less than a 5 minute walk. Vue Cinema about a 90 second walk from the rear entrance. The room is sufficient, but basic. Plenty of storage- short on coat hangers, but two large pull out drawers and a storage surface above them. Plenty of other shelving though also to use. Desk provided with also under desk drawers. I had no problem with the amount of storage provided. There is no television, and no coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Beautiful courtyard with plenty of spread out seating. Smoking areas provided. Lift service to the floors. Disabled lift available at rear of the property to raise you to the courtyard level. Entrance at the front, opposite the bus stop, is at courtyard level. Fantastic security. Security on duty throughout the night. Staff were very good. Very friendly and welcoming. Very good, free WiFi, provided. Gym, games room, and launderette (at a reasonable price) also available. You will need to provide your own washing detergent. In short, I loved this place and would without doubt stay there again."
