Extremely Disappointing Stay
I booked this room through Expedia and regret it. While the location itself is convenient, that’s the only positive I can offer. At night, the surrounding area has visible drug activity, which made simply walking to and from the building feel unsafe.
The building itself is in poor condition and clearly lacks basic maintenance, including the elevator. The room I was given was dirty on arrival: stained floors and visible dust throughout made it clear no real cleaning had taken place before check-in. The bed frame was broken and held together with tape , it nearly collapsed when I sat down, which is a serious safety concern and a sign of how little attention this host pays to guest wellbeing.
The bathroom water pressure and temperature were inconsistent, making it a struggle to even shower properly. When I reached out to the host to resolve these issues, responses were slow, and in some cases my messages were simply ignored.
The final straw came the night before checkout, when I was informed (with almost no notice ) that the entire building’s electricity would be shut off starting at 8 a.m., including the elevator. This left me struggling to carry my luggage down four flights of stairs.
For the price charged, this stay was completely unacceptable. The value does not match the cost, the host’s communication and responsiveness were poor, and the area raises real safety concerns at night. I would not recommend this property to anyone.
