"Our stay at southern palms resort was nothing short of amazing! The resort is beautiful with big pools and is located right at the beach front. Our room was big and spacious always kept neat by our lovely housekeeper Veronica. The staff at the hotel are such lovely genuine people. Everyone made us feel right at home, starting from the manager daisy who even gave us her personal contact to call her if we needed anything at any time. Elisha the bartender at the beach bar kept our drinks flowing and made sure to have conversation with each person sitting at the bar. The food was fantastic. I must recommend the bbq restaurant which had a wide selection for us meat lovers.

"The hotel is going through a major renovation. It felt as if we were in a construction zone.They are adding another floor to the apartment building. Construction would start morning and end late in the day. This apartment should have never been listed for booking. It is unacceptable that the management would rent the apartment for short stays when actual residents were given a month of free rent due to the construction of the additional floor. I need a refund. They falsely advertised the apartment as available when they knew that there is a major construction for the next few weeks. A resident told me that there is at least two more weeks left of construction. "

I booked there, took a flight to enjoy my reservation, and once there, I was told by a security guard that the hotel is closed since a month for renovations. They did not want to assist us for anything, and we ended up at another hotel (Neptune Beach Resort).
At the second hotel, we talked with other clients there and some of them knew the Bamburi Hotel and they told us they only experienced bad things with Bamburi Hotel too. Never book there, that's my advice. They will steal from you and never communicate with you if there's an issue like closing, delay, etc. "
