"First of all, the location - it's very difficult to find the hotel. It's in the middle of a car market. Taxis can't find it, and without a taxi you can't get to the center of Baku. The same problem occurs if you order any delivery - the couriers can't find the hotel, and you can't explain to them, because no one speaks English. "Smith Hotel is an old hotel that is walking distance to a metro station (Ganjlik). There is a Grandmart supermarket nearby open 24 hours, and there is a KFC just downstairs. It is actually a crowded area with some schools and a busy street. My room was facing behind the building so it was not noisy. It's reasonably clean, the reception staff weren't overly great but the restaurant staff were amazing.
