"We got let down by another hotel a week before travelling and the Irshad was still available to take us in just before the F1 race weekend. It's got a lot of good points - the staff speak English (not always great but miles better than my Azerbaijani or Russian!) and are really helpful and friendly, it's got 24-hour access with a reception that is always staffed which was really useful. "The hotel is modern and feels very inviting and fresh. The room itself is also contemporary, with plenty of charging points, modern lighting, and overall cleanliness. There were a few signs of wear and tear, which is to be expected. However, the air conditioning does not work until the outside temperature reaches a certain level (an Ibis policy). The hotel is well insulated, which unfortunately made the room temperature quite uncomfortable, even with the window open. The thick bedding didn’t help either. I also reported that the bed was squeaky and had a wobbly leg, but this was not fixed during the four days of our stay. The breakfast was a small continental-style setup, with low-quality coffee and juices. In hindsight, we regret paying for it, as there are much better and more affordable cafes nearby. The gym is functional but very small, so it’s not suitable for a full workout. Overall, while the hotel is modern, I wouldn’t stay again after experiencing other options in Baku, where better-priced rooms with more facilities are available."

"The apartment was clean; however, the initial apartment given to me did not have a washing machine, so they moved me to a two-bedroom apartment as I needed to wash, as I was between a 6-week travel. Generally speaking, the staff were extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast was Ok but repetitive as I was staying for 2 weeks. I got tired of it after a few days. They clean whenever I ask. "
