Whenever we visit the Philippines, we stay at Camp John Hay. We feel safe here. I like the fact that they have Drivers’ Quarters. They do need to provide face, hand towels and a box of kleenex. Their staff are courteous.

Attentive staff, decent lobby and room, food was ok, but they really need to double down on tending to details- toilet seat and sink faucet loose and wobbly- minor annoyances. Room door did not fully close, and you don't realize it- serious security issue. Ordered room service for dinner one night, salt provided in a small bowl, with chunks of some black contaminant. Gotta sign a receipt to borrow an umbrella- ridiculous. Checkout took over 10 minutes- inefficient; glad we left very early. Tried to charge us for minibar items we didn't consume- sloppy (or dishonest). Overall, mediocre at best. If we go to Baguio again we will try a different hotel.

Camp John Hay has a wonderful history. My hotel is one of 3 on the site. My room had a balcony that faced due east with the sun greeting me every morning at 6am ish. Best part of the day.

The bar that is used as double lock for the room was broken, and the cover for the peep hole on the door was also broken. Anybody from outside can peep through it. Also the door has gaps by the door locks that you can peep through. Other than that, our stay was a good.

It was in a serene and beautiful location. Customer service is top notch. Studio suite was huge! The only things preventing me from choosing this hotel again is the rooms didn’t have A/C and the water pressure in the shower is abysmal! In addition, even though they have free Wi-Fi, it is unsecured and unfortunately my VPN software would not connect. The big window plus the fans did help keep the room cool. The downside is you’ll hear all the noise from the parking lot. With the extremely weak water pressure in the shower, make sure you don’t flush the toilet and you have plenty of time to wait for the water to warm up. However, despite all these, we still enjoyed our stay.
