Château Belmont Tours by The Crest Collection

"This is an absolutely beautiful hotel in its own grounds within easy reach of the city centre. The grounds are stunning and the buildings are very well maintained yet preserving the atmosphere of the chateau. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, whilst parking is a luxury for hotels in the city, the parking garage is best suited for cars not much bigger than a Fiat 500. It’s very tight but once you get parked, the car is safe. Breakfast on the days of our trip was disappointing. The quality is very good but the eggs were cold, the yoghurt run out causing the team to run out to the supermarket, which also had run out. Only one hot drink machine was available causing a long wait for coffee. This was probably a bad day out of many good days but it took the shine away. Gents, you’ll need good old fashioned tight swimming trunks to use the pool. Alas, at 58 years old, it’s not a look that I can wear well these days, and as such, I didn’t use the pool."

The breakfast was good and varied but the area was not kept clean and tidy during the breakfast hours. "I don't usually write reviews but Morgan was so helpful I had to write one. We arrived with 2 young children who had just had a long ferry and car journey and needed to move! She was so accomodating, patient and helpful with us all while she was giving us local recommendations and answered all our questions. She also provided us some milk for the children in the evening when we couldn't get any from the shop. Thank you! The breakfast was also very good."

"This is our go-to for travel in and out of Tours since it’s immediately adjacent to the TGV station. It’s always clean and the staff always pleasant. Everyone we have encountered also speaks pretty good English. This is not a fancy-pants hotel with luxe appointments, but always reliable. They have a parking lot and excellent little pates de fruits bonbons at the reception desk."
