"Although this is not a high end property, it is ideal for anyone wanting somewhere to stay when visiting the Co-op live arena or the Etihad stadium, an the free parking is a bonus. It was around a 10 minute walk to the arena. The stairs are very steep and narrow and care is needed coming down them. The bathroom and bedding etc was really clean and the beds were very comfortable. Checking in was very easy and keyless and the host was quick to reply on the day when asking about the WiFi password...

"The place was cold - no heating had been put on in anticipation of our arrival. No instructions on how to control the heating - we finally found the control unit hidden on the top of a cupboard in the kitchen. Kitchen sink had a big crack in it. Shoddy décor throughout. Bed in main bedroom: let's just say the springs and mattress have seen better days. The bathroom floor is collapsing because (I assume) water from the shower. Didn't dare actually use the shower but the shower head looked...

"Wouldn’t recommend at all, although it looked clean and well furnished on the photos, it wasn’t clean, towels were all wet, bath Matt was soaking and smelt stale, shower was broken as well as the shower screen, definitely wasn’t changed before we arrived. Door handles were hanging off the doors and cupboards, blinds were broken, window was smashed, garden was covered in rubbish. The location of the house was also awful, not a very nice area at all. "I had to move rooms on the second day because of an electrical failure in the original room - I couldnt get in. I wasnt alerted to this until I came back to get ready for the concert I had booked and went up to my room. I then had to move to my alternative room two floors up and had to move all my belongings after having to pack myself and had to rush to unpack again and get to the show on time. I questioned the receptionist why hadnt I been contacted and was told as I had a'third party booking' they had no contact details. I found this very concerning - I and my friend had checked into two separate rooms as guests at the hotel and no details were on their system....very lax on security and worrying should an emergency have happened"

"Lovely central hotel in Manchester. We had a corner room and it was really lovely. Lots of quirky features like the hole in the glass to turn on the shower! Lovely comfy bed and I had a really lovely night’s sleep. Only disappointing part was the bar closed quite early and was empty."
