Property is close to the motorway, walking distance to supermarket etc, and a short drive from cafes, restaurants, and local beaches and entertainment. Sliding door (entrance) didn't glide open easily, every property had one or more steps to get inside (so not disability friendly), the outside security lighting is great, but the absence of an outside light by the room made it hard to see the keyhole on the sliding door at night, and no reading lamp in the by the desk was a bit problematic. Despite that, the stay was enjoyable. The above are suggestions for improvement.

a bit run down

Pupuke Manor Motel, it served the purpose of being handy where we needed to be, it was comfortable enough but probably more suited to uni students. Room was advertised as 2 x queen beds + twin beds. However room only had 1 queen bed + 1 king single bed with pull out trundler bed underneath. Unit had no teaspoons, no hand towels, no tissues, tv very hard to get going, Shower supplies were just from the supermarket over the road, and unit run down.

It was very quiet easy walk to supermarket was a good location. There was a few things that could be fixed broken tile-hole, wardrobe needs repair, aircon outlet throw wall needs sealing and the big one the shower needs a deep clean and even a bigger one room 12 upstairs the concrete step near the top somebody is gonna have a accident needs attention big cracks and its breaking away.

This property seems to be emerency housing and when we were there, there was an incident when police had to be called on a semi permanent resident. We were meant to stay for three nights but checked out after one... would not recommend for anyone especially children.

Sheets on bed didn't fit property and there was a lot of noise from people talking very loudly from the managers residence right next door until around 11pm.
