Attelwil Hotels

"Affordable hotel in a very popular area. The access to the riverfront, train station and attractions like the Chapel Bridge at an affordable rate instanstly skyrockets this property to at least a 7/10. However the hotel is obviously on the older side, with a specific faint odor that usually comes from improperly maintain pipes and walls. The room was clean though, and not too much complaints there. There also aren't any free amenities except luggage storage. There's no shower products or toiletries provided for your room, so be sure to pack your own. There are drinks in the minbar but its an extra charge. I ended up buying all my water and drinks from the supermarket 2 blocks down. There's a really great breakfast buffet, but that's also an extra charge. If at least a few essentials were provided for free, it would have really made it better. At the very least, water should not be free. There were some things lacking in the hotel, but the stay was far from unpleasant, and the convenience, price and location were perfect. "

"The hotel was in an excellent location, staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful, a basy array of choice. Rooms were large, modern and comfortable."

"The property does not have any staff on site. Our room did not have any running hot water for both nights we stayed there. Despite multiple attempts via phone calls and messages on the Hotels.com app, we could not reach any hotel staff. The restaurant staff have no idea how to help with the property. The main front door is left unlocked all night, so anyone can access the property and the first floor door which should only allow access to hotel clients is also open all day. Other residents were very noisy with banging doors late at night. The windows do not provide soundproof sleep either, so we noticed road noises from 4am as delivery trucks access this part of the cityz"

"I was a little annoyed that an international hotel did not offer anything but snacks from their restaurant over the weekend. I was with my elderly 84 father and we are vegetarian and the only thing we could eat was a pizza or chips if we chose to come straight back after a days site seeing. "

"We got 3 bedrooms suite. Place is very spacious and clean but floor squeaky a lot to the point we are afraid of waking the children and wouldn’t want to get up to use the bathroom at night."

"Just a wonderful hotel. Situated facing lake with alps in background. Spacious, whimsical rooms with comfortable beds/linens. Ask for lake view room if available. Great staff. Doorman saw us approaching with luggage and hurried out to take the bags, which appeared later in room with no further effort on our part. Friendly front desk representative. Room not ready due to early arrival, but she took our phone # and called just a few minutes later when it was ready. She recognized us as reentered hotel and came out to greet us and escorted us to room, Upgraded to suite wo requesting. Lots of complementary extras. Room had snacks on arrival, chocolate at turn down and well stocked fridge. Given water and chocolate Easter bunny (was Easter) on check out. Have stayed in many great hotels. This is clearly one of the best. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the area. "
