Really bad experience! We booked the hotel in advance all the way from California for spring break with kids. Specifically we booked it for the hotel’s well advertised IMAX theatre and their swimming pool. After traveling for a day there from coast to coast, we found Both the imax theatre and the pool were CLOSED when we landed there!! For days!! Pool got closed at 5.30 pm on Monday and would open on Wendy’ Wednesday, The IMAX theatre was closed for both Monday and Tuesday!! Nowhere on the Expedia site this was mentioned. When we talked to the hotel staff during our stay about what our kids could do, they pointed to the other resorts in the area!! What’s worse - when we talked to the manager on duty Ms Betsy, and explained our experience, she took no responsibility of this. She mentioned the hotel website has this (though wrong days are mentioned there), but blamed the 3rd party sites and customers who don’t check everything by visiting the hotel’s specific website!! Who does this after booking from Expedia? We asked for refunding at least the resort fees due to this. But she declined. Even she pointed to the other resorts in the area for activities for kids!! That was hilarious!! I mentioned at least the managers should understand the irony here. Completely disappointed!!

Great hotel/casino. We stayed in a huge corner room on the 18th floor of the South Tower with walls to wall windows on 2 sides! We had a clear view of the ocean on one side and the bay on the other. The bathroom was also quite large! Both were immaculate! The casino had multiple sections with slots, poker, table games, sports betting, etc. There are multiple options for food and drink. I highly recommend The Gilchrist restaurant for breakfast. It is located on the first floor of the Chelsey tower. The food is delicious. The prices are good and the staff is awesome with outstanding customer service! All of the towers are connected via walk ways lined with shops and restaurants so you never have to go outside. But if you want to go outside the boardwalk is just outside the doors with multiple entrances/exits. This was my first stay at The Tropicana Atlantic City and I can’t wait to go back!
