"Check-in easy and staff friendly and helpful. Room very cheap and cheerful with a clean comfy bed - bathroom a little whiffy from the drains. Didn’t have the breakfast so can’t review that. Free parking. Overall, we slept well and carried on our road trip happy. "

"I chose this location as my last stop on a trip round Europe on a motorbike. Check in was very easy and instructions to find my room were easy to follow. The blocks of accommodation are separate and aren’t linked so you have to exit one to get to another, ie reception. I paid to park underground, (€7) but realised later in quite times I could have ridden up the foot ramp and parked between blocks with ease. The rooms feel like student accommodation for the nearby uni, so they really are self sufficient. You could easily cook for yourself in them with goods from any of the nearby supermarkets. There is even a little pack that gives you washing liquid, a scrubber and a clever drying cloth. The fridge was cold, heating hot and bed comfortable…..everything you need. Would defo use again."

"Ontbijt was wat karig, hoewel de croissants heeeeerlijk! de kamer was schoon en smaakvol, het bed top! De kamer was wat te warm. ondanks dat ik de de heating op off had gezet en het maart ( rond 5 graden snachts buiten) Het personeel was vriendelijk! het zwambad heerlijk alleen de douches waren er koud en de pashokjes konden niet op slot en de lockers ook niet. Wel mooie lokatie en goed onderhouden!"

"Everything we needed on an overnight stop from uk to france. Clean spacious room. Decent breakfast. Can't comment on the gym, pool etc as didn't use them. "

"After almost 13 hours long drive on a warm and sunny day needed a good rest, which was not deemed to happen at the premises of this hotel. My family and I got a room just above the main entrance to the hotel, which appeared to be very noisy area until 1 - 2 a.m with drunk people yelling at each other. Within the space of 10 minutes from entering the room I found two massive spiders, one sitting just above my bed, and which I removed to the hallway of the hotel. While having shower it appeared that drainange system in the bathroom seemed partially blocked, which considering time of the day (almost midnight) was pointless to report. The hotel room we occupied looked very much worn out. I cannot recollect to stay in a hotel with so many stains on the carpet and furniture being so worn out. The positive side of this hotel is it's location, especially in the context of catching ferrry to Dover. I would not stop at this hotel again. Not recommended."

"I booked this hotel solely due to the location near the train station. This was our first time in France and I didn’t want to be wandering the streets of Dunkirk looking for my hotel. Also my French sucks. The pros: incredibly close to the train & bus station which was surprisingly quiet it was at night. The added bonus is that the bus system in Dunkerque is free, and once we figured out what bus we needed to get on to get to the plage & museum, we were golden. We also paid additional for the breakfast, which I compared to what you would pay in the States, was well worth it. We were given hot options (the eggs seemed like they were actually cooked- not that gross stuff from a bag you see in many American hotels) and my son was very pleased. And though we were surprised by three separate twin beds, they were indeed comfortable, so I can’t complain there. CONS: our shower. The drain was clogged up and since it was a walk in, you had to shower, turn off the water, let it drain, and then continue. We were only there one night, and we had already had a bit of a snafu with the language barrier when we checked in, so I didn’t want to complain. At breakfast I realized we were not only the oldest people there, but only one traveling with a kid. I felt like this hotel was one step above a hostel, and had to double check that wasn’t what I booked. "
