"Nice property , clean and well maintained. Easy and swift check in. The advertising of the hotel focused a lot on the gym , Golf, Spa and swimming pool facilities, and I was a little annoyed to find out on reading the small print ( after we had booked) that there was a £15 per person charge to use the pool. We felt that this should be pointed out more prominently as the pool and Spa was one of the main reasons for booking."

"Very difficult to move around the bathroom, the door hit the side of the bath when opened from the bedroom. We had reserved a dog friendly room, fortunately, we have a small dog because there was very little room for his crate. I suspect we were given a less adequate room, ( adjacent rooms I viewed had a better layout) because the hotel was catering for large groups and we were staying just one night. This was despite the fact that I booked it months ago."

"The Brambles was the favorite hotel for our group of 6 for our entire 15 day stay in Scotland. It’s everything you are looking for in an Inn. It’s cute, clean and comfortable. The staff is warm, friendly and helpful. Inveraray is a beautiful friendly town right on the water. Our breakfast at the Brambles restaurant was very good. We would also recommend dinner at The George Hotel right down the street followed by a stroll through the beautiful town. We also enjoyed the shops the next morning. Our only regret is not staying longer!"

"The staff on reception was cold and unhelpful, didn't even show me to the room. The room was absolutely disgusting. There was a drawer full of very dirty socks that didn't belong to me. The floorboards were rotten. The carpet didn't fit the room and wasn't attached. The toilet didn't flush properly and when it did flush it made the room smell like poo so presumably there's a sewage leak under the floor. The shower didn't give hot water. The walls were mucky. There were marks on the walls and television screen that looked like fist impressions from a violent prior resident. All the electrical outlets were smashed up so there were exposed live wires throughout the room. The radiator didn't work. The door was broken and barely locked. There was a large spider living in the bath. The bathroom was unclean. The hotel boasts having a 24hr reception desk but the reception was always closed and the hotel unstaffed. The breakfast was just little boxes of cereal with fruit, and I didn't eat it given how disgusting the place was. Worst hotel I've ever seen."
