"This isn’t really a hotel. It’s a tiny structure in a dusty and dark parking lot with a few rooms. Truly nothing like advertised and doesn’t feel safe for women either. "We stayed at The Sweet Lake Resort for two weeks at the beginning of November 2025 and had a wonderful experience. • Location: The resort is set back from a quiet road in Arambol, so there was no street noise. Arambol beach is just a 3‑minute walk through the back gate—though note the route carefully, as signage is limited and we got lost the first time. • Rooms: Spacious, clean, and airy, with huge comfortable beds, air conditioning, and ceiling fans in both the main room and shower room. Our balcony overlooked the swimming pool, which was a lovely touch . • Dining: The restaurant menu was limited but the food was delicious. While the hotel doesn’t have a bar, The Totem next door was convenient, so this wasn’t an issue. • Staff & Service: Every member of staff—from reception to housekeeping—greeted us daily with big smiles and a friendly “Hello.” Reception staff went above and beyond to help with taxis and directions. • Amenities: Free Wi‑Fi was a blessing, especially as my UK phone didn’t function properly in India. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and sincerely hope to return in the future. "
