Romantic Hotels in Amelia Island, Jacksonville

"We booked an oceanfront room but were initially placed in a pool-front room with only a slight ocean view. It wasn’t what we paid for, and we were only moved after raising the issue, which was frustrating and not how a stay should start. That said, once we were in the correct room, the stay itself was nice. The property is well-maintained and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate during our visit, so we weren’t able to fully enjoy the amenities. The resort fees also felt unnecessary, especially given that we couldn’t take advantage of much due to the weather. Overall, a nice property, but the room mix-up and added fees took away from the experience."

"The room was great and check in was GREAT but check out is when they lost stars. The lady at the counter was more interested in singing summer of 69 than helping me check out. She checked out someone in front of me and made me stand there and wait for her the I guess clear their room key or something and sing. If she would have just checked me out and the people behind me out she could have cleared all the key cards out when we were gone. "

"This was one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed at in Fernandina Beach. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. The pool and hot tub were nice! I will definitely book to stay here again in the future!"

"The Hoyt House is a fantastic place to stay in Fernandina Beach. Dave and Lindy (owners) make you feel at home in this beautiful in that is walking distance to everything downtown and the breakfasts are amazing.. Highly recommended! "
