Overall since the last time we stayed last year I drop my rating from a 5 to a 4 star for this visit. The rooms were not very clean, the fridge smelled like straight fish and could not be used or opened due to the smell. We tried to use the breakfast bar and there was no hot water for coffee/tea and no supplies left out like it was last year.

One of the best stays in the area!

Tim is a wonderful host! He is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The windows give you plenty of privacy during the day while the curtains are drawn letting in natural light. They have a fire pit and even supply wood for it. If you have no interest in building a fire there is also a propane one on the property surrounded with the comforts of patio furniture. Although it is located off the main road, it is very peaceful and welcoming. There is a laundry facility, a place to store your prizes from fishing, and a propane grill to cook up any food you'd like. It is not a pet friendly hotel HOWEVER there is a boarding house just down the road if traveling with your fur babies. We've stayed on two different occasions and 110% will return. To be honest I didn't want to write this review because deep down I wanted to keep this hidden gem to ourselves. This is a prime location to stay whether fishing, four-wheeling or snowmobiling as it is located conveniently on the trails.

The cabin was clean, spacious and fairly new. The host was friendly and helpful. We stayed one night during a long trip so we hoped for something comparable to it hotel room. But there was not enough furniture in the room. Suitcases had to go on the floor. Breakfast was a very basic continental style missing several very key items. The bathroom has no counter space so we had to make do using the top of the toilet. This is a nice, quiet, secluded place. It's comfortable and clean, but if you expected hotel like accommodations you will be disappointed.

The location was nice. New building. When I checked in I was charged a extra fee of 86 dollars that I was not notified about. After check in we went into town. When we came back there were people tailgating in front of our cabin being very loud late at night and early in the morning. No soap in soap or shower dispenser when checking in but was taken care of. Floors were very dirty and dusty. There was a random footprint at the front door. Hand soap dispenser was leaking and tried to tell the office at 9am but was locked up with no one there. Ad says breakfast included but only before 9am and only coffee. Beds very comfortable and the blankets were nice along with the air conditioner. Felt like we had very little privacy. Stayed for our anniversary and was a very poor stay. Will not be coming back....

We were the only guests at the entire facility. The front desk staff informed us that the kitchen was under renovation, so no breakfast was available despite being advertised. After showing us to our room, the staff member left the premises. Outside, about 30 feet from our unit’s front door, an outdoor table was littered with leftovers from a previous picnic—two pieces of watermelon and a plate of meat, rotting and swarming with flies. Concerned about safety, I tried to book another hotel. The place was clearly mismanaged.
