Retamar is a town in Almería, located about 8 miles from the main town centre. Between June and October, the average temperature in the area doesn’t fall below 20ºC, meaning the climate is ideal to enjoy Retamar beach. This urban beach with its sand and pebbles runs along the promenade.

Retamar’s monuments are also worth mentioning. You won’t want to miss the shrine of Torregarcía, dedicated to the Virgen del Mar, the Virgin of the Sea, with its octagonal floor plan and its hemispherical dome. Located opposite the beach in the middle of nowhere, this temple is truly a magical place.
