Budget Hotels in Alleghenies and Susquehanna Valley, Pennsylvania

"My stay at The Country Inn of Lancaster was very good. My room, and the main lobby area, were clean and comfortable, as were the beds and pillows. My grandchildren loved the daily free popcorn and the pool and hot tub. They also liked the collection of games in the lobby available for anyone to borrow and play. The continental breakfast was better than I thought it would be. The breakfast room was very small, so I took the food back to my room, but there was a good selection of breakfast treats to choose from. There was also a bar/restaurant on site. Food and service were very good. The only negative I can think of is that housekeeping did not come in and make the beds and replace the towels. We were told that we were only staying 2 nights; if we had stayed 3, they would have done the cleaning and restocking. I assumed they would come in the morning of day 2 to straighten up. We were told at the front desk that they would bring clean towels if we asked for them. I recommend The Country Inn of Lancaster. It was conveniently located and provided easy access to restaurants and attractions."

"I had paid for a room with a hot tub. That didn't happen. The first room I was put in stank of cat urine. The second room haded a bathroom with cracked sink housing and a filthy tub. It took more than 10 minutes for the water to get warm enough for a shower. The bed looks like it's falling apart. The thermostat couldn';t be regulated. Sorry to say this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in."

"The hotal was conventiently located to the National Civil War Museum which the primary reason for our visit. The hotel was clean, room, especially the bed, was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good."
