"Absolutely stunning! From the property itself to everything in the rooms. We stayed in 2 different rooms and both had stunning decor. The game room is cool and everything is kept clean. Location is perfect you can walk into town within 15-20 minutes no need to worry about parking. Staff is super nice and friendly. They also had amazing recommendations. I will be recommending this place to anyone who wants to visit Salem. "
"If you're looking to visit Salem and save on lodging, this is the place. I visited for 3 nights (no car) and I was pretty happy. The Salem Skipper picks up about 2 blocks away, a short walk and an easy ride into downtown Salem (just be prepared to wait about 20-25 minutes). Down the road there is an amazing coffee shop, Breaking Grounds, with the best morning fare (gluten free options available). The hotel also provides little pastries, fruit, and yogurt for free. My room was clean and really luxe feeling. The bed was comfortable, lots of pillows, and the shower was super nice (takes a while for the water to heat up, just fyi). Plush towels, TV, mini fridge, robes, and even a diffuser with the hair dryer! Couldn't ask for a nicer room for a great price.
One note, which I didn't dock a star for: Be prepared to kind of be on your own, there is really no front desk staff unless the Tavern itself is open (and even then it's hard to find someone, as I experienced during my stay when I wanted to update my payment method). But I did eventually contact someone after I was home, and they fixed the issue quickly."
