Top Alderminster Hotel Reviews
Whately Hall
8/10 Good
"It wasn’t a brilliant start as there was nobody on reception when we checked in. We waited around 10 minutes and eventually we found a bar man who checked started the check in process. Another guy took over to complete our check in. We were a bit early and the guy said he would check if our room was ready. This took another 10 minutes. We eventually arrived in our room which was spotlessly clean with decent toiletries. The bedding was good quality and we had a decent night sleep. Good tea/coffee facilities in our room, including a couple of biscuits. The breakfast was delicious, a standard English buffet with good quality products and served piping hot. I ordered poached eggs which were perfect. There is a lot of history attached to the hotel which interested us and managed to chat to a member of staff who was enthusiastic about the hotel and its interesting history. Apart from the disappointing check in experience, we had a great stay, so much we will return."

The Lygon Arms
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful stay at the Lygon Arms, free and convenient parking. Ideally located right in the heart of Broadway. Bookings for dinner are recommended for both restaurants, excellent cocktails are the bar (no cocktails available at the Tavern). Staff all very friendly and welcoming. Lots of walks right from the hotel. Delicious breakfast with lots of options. The spa has very nice changing rooms and showers. Would definitely return. The two small issues we had was our room was right on the High Street (accessed through the dining room) so there was a lot of street noise in the evening with the windows open during the summer as there is no air-con. As our room was only accessible by walking through the dining room, we were told we couldn't wear the provided dressing gowns/slippers when we had to walk through in the dining room when going to the pool/spa and for a massage, so had to bring a change of clothes. I understand the policy completely, but it would have been nice to have been told this ahead of time and given the option to change rooms. When staying again we will request room off the high street and with freer access to the amenities."
