We enjoyed our stay at the Luna Hotel da Oura. The rooms are very large. A few things need to be repaired in the room we had. The towel bar fell off and the bottom dishwasher rack needs to be replaced. Other than a couple of things, the hotel was very good. Easy walking to The Strip but a little farther to Old Town. Very nice hotel. The young man at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful.

The room was comfortable but a bit dated. The blowdryer was one of the boxed units attached to the wall (circa 1970), but it worked fine. Lobby was really quite nice. I would have used the indoor pool sauna and jaccuzi but you are required to wear a bathing cap...which I dont have. You also have to rent pool towels to use at the indoor and outdoor pools

A Well-Deserved Break at Luna Hotel da Oura

I recently stayed at Luna Hotel da Oura with some good friends, and it was exactly the break we all needed – and at a fantastic value for money. Our two-floor apartment was a total win – spacious, comfortable, and with not just one but two balconies. The view from the top floor was incredible, stretching across the town and right down to the sea. Perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink while soaking up the sunset. The layout was ideal for socializing too – plenty of space for when friends from the other rooms wanted to pop by for a drink and a game of cards before heading out for the evening. It was the perfect spot to unwind and catch up in style without feeling crammed in. The rooms themselves were well-appointed, with comfortable beds and blackout curtains that made it easy to catch up on some much-needed rest. The pool area was another highlight – plenty of loungers, a nice little bar serving cold drinks, and a laid-back vibe that made it easy to forget about the outside world. Location-wise, it’s close enough to the lively strip if you want a taste of the nightlife, but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. We dipped into the buzz of the bars a couple of nights but were always happy to return to our spacious, comfy base with that stunning sea view. For what we paid, it felt like a steal – great facilities, loads of space, and a brilliant location. Would absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a well-priced break.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. 30-min walk from Albufeira old town and 15 minutes from Oura Beach. If you are planning on going to the beach, bring your own towel! They charge 30€ if you bring the towels from the room to the beach. Then, when we asked for beach towels, the person at the front desk said we couldn’t get them until the spa opened at 10. At 10, we went to the spa (which was still closed). We then went back to the front desk only to find out the towels were there she whole time and not at the spa at all. They then charged us 1,50€ per day per towel and asked for a 10€ deposit for each. For whatever reason, the person at the front desk was making it very difficult to get towels. The towel experience left me with a bad impression of the staff, but otherwise, the hotel is great!

We are a family of four (two adults, two teenagers) who are fairly well travelled. We were really looking forward to our stay at The Luna having travelled some of Portugal and Spain before arriving. Sadly, we were quite disappointed. Upon arrival at 3:55 pm we were told we couldn’t check in until 4:00 pm and then were told at 4 that our room wasn’t ready. The front desk were unkind, often telling to refer to the hotel paper they provided if we had questions. Things felt very controlled (don’t ask for towels to be replaced) and dated. Additionally, it was noisy with many young adults partying and no control over noise. Consider different accommodations if you’re a travelling family.

A very reasonably priced Motel with a decent kitchen. It was nice to have laundry facilities in the hotel. The motel was perfect for our 2 week stay.

The property is old, but in good condition. Doug and Jao assisted me all the time and answer my questions about place. Yeah, also i picked this place for the wash and dry. Iwas able to take care of mt laundry.
